GUEST CRITIC #16: Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

(Image: pop-critica.com)

As busy I get from time to time, I find that I can't see every movie under the sun, leaving my friends and colleagues to fill in the blanks for me.  As poetically as I think I wax about movies on this website as a wannabe critic, there are other experts out there.  Sometimes, it inspires me to see the movie too and get back to being my circle's go-to movie guy.  Sometimes, they save me $9 and you 800+ words of blathering.  In a new review series, I'm opening my site to friend submissions for guest movie reviews.

TODAY'S CRITIC

My latest "Guest Critic" is a high school classmate of mine, Kelly Meents.  The former Peotone Blue Devil and Eastern Illinois University Panther now works as an Operations Coordinator in Colorado Springs, Colorado.  She is the proud wife to Jason Meents, whose handiwork you may recognize on the website as the designer of our amazing film strip/apple logo.  Kelly is a determined working mom to their shared daughter.  As a family, they love their adventures.  She counts herself as a diehard Harry Potter fan, which makes her perfect for this "Guest Critic" review.

HER REVIEW

As a huge Harry Potter fan, this movie is genius.  I loved every second of what was on screen! Based off the textbook "fantastic beasts and where to find them" from the Harry Potter books, David Yates and J.K. Rowling did it again!  Entering into this world was again so very magical!  I didn't know what to expect but the movie brought humor, action, fun, adventure and even a bit of darkness and surprise!  The creatures were phenomenal and so beautifully done.  Tell me after you see the movie that you personally wouldn't like a bowtruckle or niffler.  I bet you can't!   Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) is a wonderful personality brought onto the screen and his side kick Jacob (Dan Fogler) is pure delight!  We also see a glimpse into the next movies with a very famous face and I couldn't be more excited!  Having more adventures from the world of Harry Potter makes this fan and many others very happy!

CONCLUSION

This is one popular movie as Kelly will be the first of many "Guest Critics" for "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them."  My big thanks go out to Kelly for sharing her take.  Come back anytime!

Friends, if you see a movie that I don't see and want to be featured on my website (and get a fun fake biography written about you), hit up my website's Facebook page and you can be my next GUEST CRITIC!
